CSU Transfer Planner

Transfer to the CSU

The California State University (CSU) has launched the CSU Transfer Planner, a digital portal that simplifies the transfer process and connects new California Community College students to their future campus of choice early in their educational journey. The new planner allows eligible students to enroll in the Transfer Success Pathway dual admission program, which guarantees future CSU admission to 2023 high school graduates and beyond who enroll in a California community college and commit to transferring within three years.

Transfer Success Pathway (Dual Admission to the CSU)

This program is designed to increase access to the CSU. If you faced academic, financial or personal hardships that prevented you from attending the CSU, this program could help you get to the CSU to earn your degree.

Eligible students can apply to the program in order to:

  • Enter into an agreement with the CSU and receive guaranteed admission to the degree program and campus of your choice (if all requirements are met)
  • Receive personalized guidance from CSU representatives to create an educational plan that will help you transfer within three years or less
  • Map out your coursework using the CSU Transfer Planner portal to ensure you’re on track for your degree

Associate Degree for Transfer Program

(ADT)

The Student Transfer Achievement Reform Act (SB 1440/Padilla) established the Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADT) for California Community College students and is designed to provide a clear pathway to a degree at the CSU. An ADT allows students to complete an associate degree while satisfying lower-division general education and major requirements for transfer at the same time. Please Note: The Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T/AS-T) degrees are different from other Associate degrees (AA/AS) offered by the California Community Colleges.
